yay! saturday confessional day! we have amanda here from lil' mrs. chatterbox.

now...believe it or not, i was undeniably innocent in high school. we're talking perfect attendance, never had a tardy, never kissed a boy, etc, etc. however...we may have found a gal even more so innocent than me in amanda...minus that one time she had a threesome. no seriously...she tells us about it below. enjoy her confessional!

Hey y'all! I hope you're having a wonderful start to your weekend! If you are looking for a good laugh, then you're in the right place. We'll keep this short & sweet, as it's not something I like to dwell on! No one likes confessing.

Maybe you're like me and have a phobia of wet paper, yes I cringe at the sight or touch. It completely grosses me out, I don't know if it's because it tears easily and sticks to everything, or if it is because it makes me think of the nasty floors covered in wet toilet paper at the state fair, but it gives me the heeby jeebies! Also, to make it worse, my little brother insists on teasing me when we eat out. He will wrap his straw around the condensation soaked glass, then throw it at me like it's a wet fish! I will admit that I have screamed in public because of these evil games.

Maybe you fell rolled down a hill while going to a pep rally... in front of your entire high school... While you were wearing a Pom uniform. I'm talking landed on my face and feet rolled over me head. NOT GRACEFUL! I think the picture below is from the very day that it happened
That's me, front row on the right! Man, I was skinny!!
You might have little secrets like this lurking in your past. But, what I am about to tell you is something I am sure has not happened to you. If it has, I would love to hear about it. Maybe we could start a club! I still get teased about this from time to time.

When I made the Pom team, in 2003, I was 13. I've always been one of the youngest in my grade. Every year, the pom squad has a sleepover filled with a scavenger hunt, lots of games, junk food, and Skittles! I'm not talking "Taste the Rainbow", I'm talking about an evil game that forces you to confess things you've done and include stories, it's like "Never Have I Ever". Everyone who knew anything about the pom squad knew that this game would be played at the annual sleepover. Everyone gets 10 skittles and if you have done something that is said, you have to throw your skittle in a bowl in the middle of the group. If you miss, you spill your story. Now, keep in mind, I was (barely) 14 years old, youngest squad member. I had never been kissed, and "I've never held hands" wasn't an option. So, there I was... mid-game, still holding all 10 skittles, figuring I would be able to just eat them all at the end of the game! But, then... someone said something that made me light up! The phrase was "I've never had a threesome. Now, remember, I still had all 10 skittles left, and I had never been kissed, or done anything else that would warrant me throwing a skittle. I mean... I wore a SKORT for the first day of Freshman year... and here's the cell phone picture from the scrapbook to prove it!
But, when I heard the "Threesome" phrase, my mind said "I've done that!!" So, I threw in my skittle. I got all kinds of weird looks. Someone asked "You had a threesome?" and I replied " Guys, it's not that big of a deal, it was in 3rd grade!". Then the looks turned into laughs. Another teammate asked "Amanda, do you know what a threesome is?" And here is the kicker... I replied....... "Yea, it's when two girls have the same boyfriend! In 3rd grade, my friend and I shared a boyfriend!"

Needless to day, I have NEVER had a threesome!! The news of my embarrassing moment made it back to my mom sometime during that evening. When she picked me up the next morning, she asked me about it. I learned the lesson that if you live in a small town, there is nothing that you will do (or say) without your parents finding out! And that is why I was a good girl all through high school!

Although that was probably one of my most embarrassing times, it was definitely not my only blonde moment. I have them quite often. But, I do not regret that moment, or any of my times on the Pom squad! It is where I made some of my closest friends! Here is a cute pic I found (also in the scrapbook) of me and Emilee on our way to Nationals Freshman year, and a pic of us from 2013! These friendships really do last a lifetime!
If you would like to read more about my crazy adventures, my blonde toddler, or how I work full-time/went back to school/volunteer kids pastor... head on over to my blog HERE! Happy Saturday y'all!
