I know I'm not the first mom to say this, but my best gal... she's as busy as a wild animal. Throw in some farm living and a farmer who comes home with mud up to his knees and grease up to his elbows on the daily... it's enough to throw this soon-to-be mom of two into mini panic-attacks.

The biggest lesson I'm learning? Pick my battles.

Sometimes your kid's face isn't going to be clean.
Sometimes you aren't going to have time to bathe that grubby, played-outside-in-the-dirt-all-day body.
Sometimes you will take a whiff of your kid and they won't have that fresh, just-lotioned skin scent.
Sometimes your kid will come home after a day with dad, holding a 9/16 wrench covered in god knows what.

This is my reality.

But sometimes I get to have my cake and eat it too.
Cue my new favorite brand and we're in business.

I saw the Babyganics line at Target as I was shopping for my 79th no-spill, sippy cup and decided anything that can give me a fighting chance to stay one step ahead of my dirty farm-gal... count me in.
I snagged the Alcohol-Free Foaming Hand Sanitizer, Toy & Highchair Cleaner Spray, Face Hand & Baby Wipes, and the Moisturizing Baby Lotion.

Good and bad news - the bad news is my little gal got sick.

The good news is with my freshly purchased Babyganics goodies I'm more than prepared to keep her and our home so fresh and so clean clean. I want to do all I can to keep her from spreading those germs to the brand new baby we'll be bringing home soon.
Cue the hand sanitizer. I snagged a package of three and now have them strategically in our diaper bag, living room, and one for my farmer to keep in his truck. (Please farmer - use this on our gal who carries around dirty wrenches and then shoves granola bars in her face.)

Girlfriend loves to try anything that I am using so one little squirt in each of our hands makes us happy and sanitized. And then we do it again... and again... and again. Not because we have to, but because she wants to. Excessive? Yes. Necessary? No. Happy girl? Yes.

The best part is it doesn't dry out our hands and has a nice, little mandarine scent... so I don't feel like I need lotion all day long.

In addition to keeping her from spreading those germs about our house by touching everything everything... we're dealing with a serious snot issue. Gross. She's been sneezing up a storm, so I handed her a wipe and she was INTO IT!
I think the dry tissues (after 27) start to hurt, but the Babyganics face wipes did the trick. She blew and wiped her own nose and didn't seem to mind. Poor muffin... but i was so proud.

The wipes are super soft, aren't too wet, but just enough. They are nice because not only can they be used for diapering, but for grubby faces and hands... and noses. Love that.

I'll be keeping these wipes on our kitchen table for fast face + hand clean-up after meals.
The wipes will sit directly next to the Toy & Highchair Cleaner Spray.

Highchairs. Is there anything more disgusting?

In preparation for getting our house ready for baby I am attacking our house section by section. The other day it was our dining area's turn. I nearly had to take an electric sander to Kaye's highchair because of the amount of dried food. Is it really necessary for her to paint her chair with smashed banana? Apparently so. Throw in some lasagna, sweet potatoes, cheese, and anything else that requires a putty knife... and that's what I found on her highchair. This is my life.
No worries - I snagged my bottle of Babyganics non-toxic Toy & Highchair Cleaner Spray and got to work. I sprayed it on her highchair to soak for a few minutes and proceeded to clean her bib, placemat, and our entire kitchen table with the stuff. It's non-toxic and there's no need to rinse, so why not use it on everything?

I think what I liked most is that not only did this product work (and now lives on my kitchen table) but it doesn't have a cleaning after smell. The spray just does its job and wipes right up. Boom. Babyganics for the win... again.
We read so many things these days about the ingredients in not only food, but in the products we use in our daily lives.

It's nice to know that the products I'm using to wipe down toys, faces, bodies, every surface of our home isn't going to cause potential harm to my sweet, wild animal.

After popping over to the Babyganics website I learned there is no standard for "natural" or "safe" when it comes to products. Companies can just slap it on the packaging... so Babyganics came up with their own standards...and I'm into their message: create a world for your kid where you can say "yes" instead of "no" so they are more free to explore.

And let's face it. My best gal certainly doesn't like to hear the word "no"... ever. so when it comes to lotion time after her shower she will always prefer to put it on herself.

I want us all to know that there are some seriously wonderful baby products on the market today and the last brand of lotion we used I loved. It too was natural and smelled delicious.

Cue the Babyganics Chamomile Verbena Moisturizing Baby Lotion.
Not only can I not get enough of it... but neither can my best gal. It has the most light, gentle scent that makes you want to cuddle your little one in and smell their little bodies awkwardly until they push you away. You know exactly what I'm talking about.

But one of the best parts of this lotion is it absorbs quickly and easily without leaving the skin with a tacky feeling. This is wonderful when I'm trying to wrangle my turtle into her pj's.
Now that we've met some seriously awesome products that are wonderful for for the whole family...

Thanks to BlogHer and Babyganics, it's time for a $100 VISA GIFT CARD GIVEAWAY! nobody is mad about that!
